Kelly Slater is one of the greatest and most popular surfers of all-time. Known for this competitive prowess and style, Slater has been crowned the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Tour Champion 11 times, including five consecutive titles (1994-1998). He is both the youngest (age 20) and oldest (age 39) champion to win the title. Slater has collected 54 career world championship tour victories.

With his fifth world title in 1997, Slater became the sport’s most successful champion In 2005, Slater became the first surfer ever to be awarded two perfect scores (20 out of 20). He repeated the historic feat again in 2013, and is only the fourth person in history to do so. He became the all-time leader in career wins when he captured the Boost Mobile Pro event at Lower Trestles near San Clemente, California in 2007. Throughout his illustrious career, Slater has been ranked No. 1 in the world across 11 different years.
